It has been amazing to see the progress that Travis has made in the past week. Two evenings ago he was 2175grams (4.8lbs) and they will be weighing him again tonight. Travis's eyes were tested yesterday and they appeared to be developing properly. They will be retesting his eyes again in two weeks to see the progress made. Another large step that Travis has made is that he is off the CPAP. This was the breathing machine he was on and now he is receiving oxygen by nasal cannula. He is on what they call "high flow" which still gives some pressure and they continue helping him become more independent. Yesterday they were saying that there was a fifty percent chance that Travis would successfully stay off the CPAP and he was able to do that!
Travis was introduced to breastfeeding today which begins with little steps. Today I held him and they were looking for rooting and sucking reflex which is one the first steps in the process.
Here is little Travis waiting for his lunch today!

Aww what a sweetheart :) So glad to hear the good news guys. Thinking of yous!
