The last couple days have been memorable for us! Adrian and I both had a chance to do “Kangaroo Care” which involves one of us holding little Travis skin-to-skin for an hour. This is highly recommended since it is creates a bond between the parents and baby, and babies are proven to thrive when this is done. He started to wear onesies yesterday and he was wearing a sleeper today! His soother was upgraded to a larger size, and they have increased his feeds to 29mls every 3 hours. He is getting fed by a tube that is going down his mouth into his stomach. The last time they weighed him he was 3.6 lbs (1660 grams), and they will be weighing him again tonight. On Wednesday they tried to do an eye exam, but it was too early to see anything. The purpose of the test was to see how the retina has developed, and they will be retesting his eyes in a couple weeks.
We are very thankful that there has been major progress in the last days, hopefully it will continue this way.
